The “Marco Biagi” Department of Economics is located in the centre of Modena (viale Berengario 51 – 41121 Modena – Google Maps). The conference venue can be reached:
- by train – Modena Train Station is connected to major cities in Italy and Europe by way of the Bologna or Milan routes. You can check routes and tickets at the following link: Trenitalia. The department can be reached from the railway station (about 900 metres away), on foot in about 12 minutes or by bus n. 1 (Villaggio Zeta) or n. 4 (Galilei) in about 4 minutes (the stop is “Berengario Università”).
- by car – the nearest motorway exit is Modena Nord; there is a large car park close to the university, in Via Achille Fontanelli 18.
- by plane – the closest airport is Bologna Airport, Aeroporto Guglielmo Marconi (BLQ), Website. From there, you have two alternatives:
– take a shuttle bus connecting the Airport to Bologna’s train station and then take a train to Modena
– take the shuttle bus connecting Bologna Airport directly to Modena (stop in Modena bus station), Link - by bus – the bus station is about 300 metres away
The Department is opened from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 6 pm.
